Well, we finally have the chest for the March 2013 Williamsburg seminar in our hands. It arrived a couple of months later than anticipated, but it was well worth the wait. This little beauty measures 15 3/4″ X 10″ X 10″ and retails for $75.00. It will surely become a family heirloom. I can hardly wait to get my paint brushes on it!

Robert and I will be going over the river and through the woods this week, but not to grandmother’s house. We will be making our annual Thanksgiving visit with our daughter in Kansas. During our visit there each year we enjoy time with the family, do loads of Christmas shopping, and start Terri’s holiday decorating started. Terri and I enjoy cooking together, so Thanksgiving dinner preparations are quite enjoyable.

As our thoughts turn to family, friends and food for this Thanksgiving season, we will take time to reflect on all we have to be thankful for.  We wish all of you a happy, healthy, and blessed Thanksgiving.

Jackie will be holding down the fort while we are gone, but she will be on a slightly abbreviated holiday schedule as well. She will be returning e-mails and phone calls during the week and will do her best to process most orders.

Next Wednesday we begin our fall seminar here in Williamsburg with a day of watercolor. The students will be working on this new watercolor, “Carsanna’s Lily”. I had so much fun painting this one that I can hardly wait to share it with the seminar students!

Christmas Cheer Santa
Brenda creates new Santas each year and this is one of her newest releases. It is the perfect addition to your Santa collection or would make a great gift. While on the site, check out the small coffered box it is painted on and review the entire collection of Santas that are available.

Hildy & Friends Just in time for Halloween painting. This small box is the perfect treat for one of your little ghosts or goblins. Hildy and her kitty are on the top of the box, and the sides are embellished with simple little Halloween designs. All 5 designs are suitable for many different surfaces.

Finally…..the trailer is totally unloaded and the merchandise is inventoried and put back on the shelves. Shows are a wonderful experience, but packing up before and unpacking after is definitely NOT the fun part!

Hats off and much appreciation to the HOOT members for their long dedication to giving us all a wonderful late summer painting experience. What a great show we had this year. The students in both classes surpassed all expectations…the students just seem to get better and better each year. Everyone seemed to enjoy the classes, and we giggled our way through the Hildy class as each distinct personality developed!

It was difficult to tell what was the most popular in the booth. The newly released, Christmas Wishes Santa walked out of the booth almost as fast as we could restock…but Down the Chimney He Goes was a close second. Of course, the new ornaments were a hit as well. All the signature wood pieces were hot sellers, both newly released items and those that were released last year.
